The Sock Festival - And love letters

Today after school I had to go drop off a hot water bottle that I borrowed from a friend when Rylan had an ear infection for the first time. The whole way there and back Lee was talking about his plans for a, "Sock Festival" when they got back home. He said that at this festival you get to take off your socks and turn them into a costume...but then that to this sock festival you can also bring another costume to wear! And he said they will also be playing soccer at the sock festival. And football too! Then he started to try and convince Rylan to come to it. Rylan had other plans for what he wanted to do when he got home so he declined and then Lee adorably said, "Well if you aren't going to come to the festival...I will bring the festival to you!" Rylan thought that was hilarious and asked him how he could possibly bring a whole festival to him and Lee explained that he would do it with his truck. But then Rylan explained he would do something  downstairs then he would need to go upstairs and then back downstairs. Lee replied that he can't go up and down stairs so much because that will take out all his might to be having to move the festival so many times upstairs then downstairs, back upstairs then downstairs again!"

These adorable imaginations/conversations are going to be what we will really miss hearing someday!

Rylan just randomly told me that next year when he switches classes again and goes into 2nd grade that he hopes he will be in Lee's class! Funny we purposely put them in separate classes because we figure that will be better for them.

Rylan is so funny. He loves charts graphs and calendars. Right now he is making a calendar and he is so excited about it. I am showing him how to do it so he came over and gave me probably a good 2 minutes of non stop kisses. So sweet!

Rylan and Lee have both been making these cute letters for everyone. Here is one that Rylan made for Lee.

This is the front. Made to look like an envelope with the first initial of Lee's name. He folded it in half and when it opens up this is what it says:

It says, " I love you very much Lee. I always love you even when you are being mean to me I still love you Lee."

It's very special that he wrote that because Lee can be very dramatic when he is upset or in trouble. He will say things that he doesn't mean like, "I don't want to play with you ever again! You aren't my brother anymore! I don't need you! I hate you! You don't love me!" He has gotten much better about this...he calms down much quicker. But we have been doing a lot of talking about how we are a family and we love each other no matter what happens and that is even more of a reasons not to hurt each other's feelings because of how special it is.
