It's been so long since I blogged that I just decided I need to get something recorded instead of trying to go back in time and cover that stuff I thought I would start with today and hopefully make up for missed time in another post!
Rylan has the same spelling homework every week. He has to write a sentence for each of his spelling words. I love seeing what he comes up with!
This weeks homework:
cute - I see something as cute as a cat.
cube - A cube just landed on the ground.
fumes - I do not like the smell of fumes.
music - I like music so much sometimes.
unit - I think I am in unit two.
menu - I see milk on the menu.
few - I see a few ducks in a farm.
pew - I am sitting on a pew.
fuel - My car does not have much fuel because it is a toy.
cues - An alarm clock cues me to wake up.
pony - I see a pony by a house.
began - I began my homework on Monday.
come - Come here right now cats and dogs!
give - If you give me that you can come to my house.
It's hard to get the kids to talk about school because they get home and want to start playing right away and they have so many other things to talk about. So I have been bribing them to tell me their favorite part of the day for 5 mins of video game time and it has been working so far!
Today Rylan's favorite was on the way home on the bus someone (he doesn't know his name) gave him 5 pokemon cards and when Rylan said that he would give him some of his he said he would try to get him a spot in the back of the bus! Funny pokemon cards are what hacky sacks and pogs were when I was a kid!
Today Lee's favorite is when he brought in his newest Minecraft perler bead creations everyone loved them so he is making 5 of his friends custom perler bead gifts!
Lee got the perler beads as a Christmas gift. The first thing that he made - he came up with out of the blue and completely melted my heart into a puddle! He made our "Pikmin Family" We have a Pikmin family because the boys love the Pikmin videogames and I made a picture for Lee that depicts me as a Purple Pikmin, Michael a Blue one, Lee a yellow one (with freckles) and Rylan a red one. It is framed and hung next to his bed. Rylan has a different "family" painting next his bed of "rylan's mansion"
